DMSMS Products
BAI has performed the analysis, formulated the planning, and developed the risk management and mitigation procedures associated with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), including parts obsolescence, for airframe, engine, and electronic equipment. Informal (pre-DMSMS) efforts have focused on identification of obsolescent and obsolete repair parts and development of associated corrective measures, while formal DMSMS tasking has addressed the system design, production, and support problems associated with increasing employment of rapidly-evolving high-technology Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipments.
These efforts have included:
- Obsolescent, obsolete, and out-of-production parts reports monitoring for A-6, KA-6, and EA-6 series aircraft families;
- Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) development for impacted obsolescent, obsolete, and out-of-production parts for A-6, KA-6, and EA-6 series aircraft families;
- DMSMS Management Plan development for EA-6B ICAP III Aircraft configuration; and,
- Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)/Logistic Management Information (LMI)-based, DMSMS problem identification and solution prioritization logic and spreadsheet development for EA-6B ICAP III Aircraft configuration.
